Stephen King – Revival.

Revival – Stephen King (2014, Scribner, New York)

Stephen King goes down a familiar road with this homage to Lovecraft and Mary Shelley, in which the lives of a recovering drug addict/musician and a grief-stricken preacher are electrically intertwined.  Although much of the book is dead weight (geddit?) and the conclusion is preordained (oh boy, I’m really on a roll here), Mr. King still has the ability to suck me in from the very first sentence and never let go.
