The Ocean at the End of the Lane – Neil Gaiman (2013, William Morrow, New York)
It’s too bad life always seems to get in the way of amazing books…this is one you want to pick up when you have a couple of solid hours to devote to reading it in its entirety. Don’t do what I did and spread it out over three days – the longing to finish it will nearly kill you. Gaiman is in top form with this story of a young boy who gets caught up in powerful, sinister magic – and of his friendship with a girl-who-is-so-much-more. Sad, sweet, and superb.
